Maybe just something to help things run a little more smoothly in married life—or perhaps it feels like a complete overhaul is needed and every day has become a struggle. \nThink about when your car starts making a strange noise. You take it to the mechanic\, and suddenly the sound disappears before you even get there. But marriages are different. Sometimes those little “noises” don’t go away on their own. Just like with a car\, a marriage may only need a small tune-up to get back on track—or it may need more attention. \nWhat is the answer? Retrouvaille! This weekend program offers an opportunity to rediscover why these two people fell in love in the first place. The program allows the couple to reconnect with the most important person in their life\, their spouse\, and to start fresh. \nMany people looking for marriage help are embarrassed and don’t want to seek the help they need. Retrouvaille is a confidential program where the hurting couple never has to share their “dirty laundry.”  They can still learn techniques how to communicate better from people who share their own experiences. \nOnce the couple has completed the weekend\, they are asked to continue to learn the skills necessary to solve conflict by attending additional online classes. These classes are essential to complete the Retrouvaille experience. \nThe program is conducted by volunteers who have had their own marriage challenges and have learned how to overcome them. They now want to help other couples. \nThe next Retrouvaille weekend in the Utica area will be held here at The Good News Center. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Caring… it’s not the hard part of caregiving. \nCaregivers primary challenges lie in the logistical\, emotional\, physical and financial demands\, not the love or compassion for their loved one.\nThe Caregiver Support Group’s focus is providing tangible resources\, coping mechanisms\, problem solving skills and educational tools to help caregivers feel more confident and less stressed in their roles. \nThe Caregiver Support Group meets monthly from 6-7:30 PM\, facilitated by Mary Bogdan\, MHA\, BSN\, CHPN\, CHPCA.\nOur group is FREE and open to anyone in a care giving role. \n\nMore than 59 million Americans provide care for an adult with a complex medical condition or disability\, with another 4 millions caring for a child.\n\n\n\nThe National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP have released Caregiving in the U.S. 2025\, a research report released every five years. Compared to past reports\, the proportion of Americans who are caregivers has climbed\, now standing at 24% of the U.S. adult population. \nCaregiving has also become more intense over time\, with 55% of caregivers handling medical or nursing tasks\, as well as activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing and toileting. SUMMARY:21st annual Rosary Walk
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Saying the rosary while walking combines physical exercise with spiritual meditation\, offering benefits like reduced stress\, improved mental clarity\, and deeper prayer focus. This practice turns ordinary\, active time into a “rosary walk\,” allowing for meditation on the life of Christ while surrounded by nature. \nJoin us for our 21st annual Rosary Walk on Wednesday\, August 5th at 6pm here at The Good News Center’s Trail of Peace. \nWe will also pray the Rosary  in our Meditation Garden for those unable to walk the trail. Seating will be provided. \nIn case of inclement weather we will pray the Rosary in our beautiful chapel. \nWe will be offering a Greek dinner from 5-5:45 pm consisting of chicken skewers with roasted red peppers and onions\, rice\, Greek salad\, pita bread and assorted beverages. Baklava and vanilla ice cream will be offered after the Rosary. \nThe cost is $25 per person for dinner only. Reservations for dinner are accepted starting June 1st and must be paid in advance by July 29th. We visit the Carmel Convent\, where we celebrate Mass\, and Les Buisonnets\, the humble dwelling of the Saint. We see the magnificent Basilica of St. Therese and the Crypt before our hotel check-in. The 54 miles of Atlantic stretching from Utah Beach in the west to Sword Beach in the east — are littered with WWII museums\, monuments\, cemeteries\, and battle remains left in tribute tothe courage of the British\, Canadian\, and American armies that successfully carried out the largest military operation in history: D-Day. On these serene beaches\, at the crack of dawn on June 6\, 1944\, the Allies finally gained a foothold in France; from this moment\, Nazi Europe\nwas destined to crumble. This morning\, we drive through beautifulNormandy scenery toward Omaha Beach\, where we see the American Memorial and Cemetery. We celebrate Mass near Omaha Beach and remember our brave\, fallen soldiers. Rouen offers a restored medieval quarter and a magnificent Gothic cathedral\, Notre-Dame\, often painted by Claude Monet. Throughout its turbulent history\, the city was destroyed several times. During the Middle Ages\, it was devastated by fire and the plague. The English occupied it during the Hundred Years’ War when the French heroine Joan of Arc (Jeanne d’Arc) was tried for heresy and burned at the stake in the central square in 1431. During WWII\, Allied bombing raids laid waste to large parts of the city\, especially the area south of the cathedral. Still\, the city has undergone meticulous rebuilding over the last six decades. We tour the city on foot\, celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Joan of Arc\, and see where she was brutally murdered. We have lunch at La Couronne\, the restaurant where Julia Child had such a fantastic meal that she decided to become a chef. After lunch\, we continue to Paris\, where we settle into our hotel. Dinner is at leisure tonight with the opportunity to explore Parisian cafe food. Overnight in Paris. (B.
