Women at the Well
Women at the Well is a place, a group, where you can share your thoughts, your experiences, your ponderings and wonderings about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, prayer, Scripture, your own spiritual growth—or desire for it. The group honors confidentiality, acceptance, and respect.
The title comes from the Gospel story where Jesus meets a Samaritan woman that gives truth, acceptance, and direction. Jesus invites her to look at her life, make more wholesome choices the rest of her life and turn her heart over to God.
Women at the Well is a conversation. In sharing or listening to others, it may help us to look at our own lives and discover how each of us might draw closer to God. It might also remind us of God’s goodness and faithfulness to us.
An evening likely includes input on a topic, listening to music or song, questions to sit with, thoughts individual women may have—lending itself to a discussion, some quiet time, or prayer of gratitude or concern.
There is no need to be fearful you must ‘SPEAK.’ Your presence is participation.
If you’d like some companionship as you walk your spiritual journey, come and join us. Come as you please—every month, once in a while or once just to see what it is like. The group is facilitated by Sister Mary Ellen Schopfer, a sister of St. Joseph, Spiritual Director, Retreat Director and facilitator of small groups - days of reflection and prayer.
Last Tuesday of the month, 3-4:30 PM.
There is no Women at the Well for July and August.
