Join us from November 4 through November 11, 2025, for a powerful panorama as U.S. flags fly in solemn formation on Utica’s Memorial Parkway. This remarkable display will unite our community in a heartfelt tribute to honor our heroes. Each flag symbolizes an individual with opportunities to sponsor a flag in memory or honor of someone special for only $40. This event is the perfect chance for us all to remember and celebrate those who have served. The U.S. flag represents our unity and shared commitment to building a brighter future together. This moving exhibition is a gift to our community, made possible by generous donations, sponsorships, and the hard work of dedicated volunteers. We invite everyone to visit our Healing Field® Flags for Heroes patriotic display and walk among the flags that memorialize and/or honor our heroes.

All proceeds will benefit Sitrin’s Military Program. The Program is designed to treat veterans and service members experiencing physical, emotional, and cognitive issues. The program is different from conventional veteran care, personalizing treatment options and social activities based on each individual’s needs and interests. Those who have experienced traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, amputations, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, and other symptoms have benefited from Sitrin’s unique approach to care.

Join us for our Recognition Ceremony on Saturday, November 8 at Utica’s Parkway Recreation Center at 3 pm.

Our guest speaker this year will be Major General Peter Lennon, US Army, Retired.

Peter Lennon is a native of New Berlin, New York. He attended Bucknell University earning both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and later a Masters of Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Rising to the rank of Major General during a nearly 40-year Army career, Peter was recognized as a leader in supply-chain operations from the tactical to the national and international levels. Key assignments included:

Theater-level transportation planner for the treaty implementation force in Bosnia Herzegovina,
White House-endorsed transportation advisor to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq,
Director of strategic-level military transportation operations throughout the 23 middle-eastern countries of US’s Central Command, and
Commander of the 37,000-Soldier 377th Theater Sustainment Command with forces throughout the eastern United States.
