Rev. Jubenville’s talk will be “When Life Isn’t a Hallmark Movie- Finding Blessings in Each Season of Our Lives”
As we approach the holidays, are we finding ourselves depressed, anxious and downright grumpy because ‘it isn’t the way it used to be”? The kids can’t make it home, there might be some separation with family members, we might be feeling the loss of loved ones who are no longer with us, there might be a financial strain during the holidays. I can’t do what I used to do and the never ending question…..“Shouldn’t my life feel more blessed because I am faithful”?
We will be addressing some of these situations that many of us face, especially during the holidays. We will look at the human side of our emotions and then reflect on where God is in our journey.
Rev. Jubenville retired as Executive Director/CEO of The Community at Sunset Wood and as Associate Pastor at New Hartford First Methodist Church.
