Good News Luncheon “Not to the East but to the West.”

November 19 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join The Good News Center as we welcome Debra Stumpf for our luncheon on Thursday, November 19th from 11 AM-1 PM.
Debra’s topic will be “Not to the East but to the West.” Learn the history of some of the women who helped spread the news of Jesus Christ.

In the month that celebrates the feast days of St. Frances Cabrini, the first American Saint; St. Margaret of Scotland, St. Gertrude, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, and St. Cecilia, we will look at the some of the women of the New Testament who were among the first women to go forward carrying the Good News of Jesus Christ. When they were called to carry the news to the Upper Room, bring a letter to a community in Rome, or open their homes to new communities, these women of the New Testament helped spread the word and played an important role in Christianity.

Debra’s career was in the nonprofit sector with the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  She first taught religious studies at Mother Cabrini High School in New York City and then served as the Executive Director of the St. Frances Cabrini Shrine.  Currently she teaches adult scripture classes at Historic Old St. John’s Church.

$20 per person or $18 for 1992 Society Members. 300 Club Members are free.

Registration opens on September 30th and we ask you to please register before November 12, 2026.
